The Furniture House is an independent furniture
store based in Penrith Cumbria. We are suppliers of quality NEW
Oak and Pine furniture ranges at very competitive prices.
We also specialise in the sale of restored wooden furniture e.g.
light oak, vintage, reproduction, antique, pine and retro
pieces.
With almost 25 years experience in the restoration of furniture
It enables us to sell beautifully re-polished recycled items. We
carefully source good quality furniture which is mainly dark in
colour and hand strip the worn finish away. Usually this leaves
us with a beautiful lighter wood. At this stage we can choose
how to finish the piece e.g.. stain it to a darker colour, or
leave it as light as it will naturally go. Which is what we
usually do as customers seem to prefer the lighter colours these
days. At The Furniture House as specialists in restoration we
understand that when it comes to up-cycled furniture there is a
fine line between shabby chic and just plain shabby! However in
choosing to buy a restored piece it will save you money and
probably be a higher quality more individual British made piece
as opposed to a mass produced item made in the Far East.
